Just a short note to introduce myself......
I have been living near Beziers in the South of France for just over 5 years.... but feel that it is time to write a new chapter in my life..... and find some more winter warmth.... which I suspect is the main reason for most living in the area....
I have just made an offer on a cortijo near
Albondon which I hope will be accepted...and would expect to move down towards the end of April, the conversion and renovation work has been started on the cortiyo, but never finished, so I am very much looking forward to completing the work.
I really enjoy this sort of work and the challenge as you can see if you look at my web site

I also want to live closer to nature away from most of life's polution, BUT I am most certainly not anti-social, on the contrary...... I love music and like nothing more than to listen...... and dance to good live music....whist enjoying the local wine.....
plus make new friends..... for social gatherings and BBQs etc....etc....
I guess I will be posting and asking many questions as well as gleaning much information from your forum.

Oh, the handle "goatherd" refers to the fact that I would like to breed cashmire goats for their fibre as a hobby...
in my spare time of course....lol
