Hi All

Just a short note to introduce myself......
I have been living near Beziers in the South of France for just over 5 years.... but feel that it is time to write a new chapter in my life..... and find some more winter warmth.... which I suspect is the main reason for most living in the area....
I have just made an offer on a cortijo near Albondon which I hope will be accepted...and would expect to move down towards the end of April, the conversion and renovation work has been started on the cortiyo, but never finished, so I am very much looking forward to completing the work.
I really enjoy this sort of work and the challenge as you can see if you look at my web site www.your-house-in-the-sun.com It gives great satisfaction and keeps me fit....
I also want to live closer to nature away from most of life's polution, BUT I am most certainly not anti-social, on the contrary...... I love music and like nothing more than to listen...... and dance to good live music....whist enjoying the local wine..... plus make new friends..... for social gatherings and BBQs etc....etc....
I guess I will be posting and asking many questions as well as gleaning much information from your forum.

Oh, the handle "goatherd" refers to the fact that I would like to breed cashmire goats for their fibre as a hobby... in my spare time of course....lol

Had a peek at your website, your place looks fabulous. If you can do something similar in las alpujarras it will be stunning. My wife Ali and I have bought a place probably only about 20/25 mins up the road from the one you have offered on. We are moving out, lock stock and barrel in May on such a tight budget we must be a little senile, but as they say "you only live once". I have seen your various postings on this site..... well done, I have also noted that there seems to be thousands of VOYEURS....... some posts have received over 2000 views and yet there are only 2 or 3 replies????? That's crazy...... Why?
Have you voyeurs absolutely nothing to say on any of these subjects??

good to see others using this site was begining to think it was just ian and me,we are looking at the moment at a few places in spain and are planning a trip to almunecar for a week in september as my partner val loves it there.
