Perfect snow for 25,000 skiers in Sierra Nevada
Wednesday, 26 November 2008
Southern Spain’s most prominent ski resort, Sierra Nevada seems on target to hit its seasonal total of over one million skiiers, with perfect conditions during its first week of opening. Thanks to several brilliant dumps of snow over past weeks, the resort (managed by company Cetursa) enjoyed a busy first few days and is looking forward to some serious ski attendance for the fiesta weekend coming up during the first few days of December (6th being the Día de la Constitución and the 8th remembering the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary).

Coupled with the fact that the Sierra Nevada resort boasts the most varied skiing in Spain (some 1,100 metres in height above sea level), views of the Mediterranean in the distance and a total of over 45 kilometres of ski runs, it’s no wonder that locals and visitors are flocking in their hundreds!
