Hi All,

The search for a property that would suit us turned out to be a bit harder than we thought. For one,we had no idea what we actually wanted. We had trawled through pages and pages of internet property sites and the only thing I can say is, don't trust tiny pixelated pictures, they bear little resemblence to the real thing.

We met a few agents while we were looking, one in particular stood out. She wasn't the person we eventually bought a house from but she was so helpful and very patient with us, obviously understanding that the "extrajeneros" were new to this game. We looked at such a variety of propertys, some took our fancy only to be dismissed when we saw something better, some had the instant "Uuuurrrggghhh" factor. Jan did show us a property that we seriously considered for some time. A two story semi detached property witha good amount of land. The trouble is there was always that niggling little voice telling me thatit was not the one. I think when you spot the rightpace, you know itinstantly, as I have yetto tell you.

We spent a lot of time travelling the local villages, Cadiar, Murtas etc but one of my favourites has to be Trevelez. Its the place where alargeproportion of the fabulous cured ham comes from. It has a magical feel, so high up amongst the snow peaks and the clouds. If you are ever in the area you must check it out. The tapas is estupendo!!

So nothing found on this particular trip but much learnt, this area really had the feel we were looking for, we would keep trying and see what came up.
