Hi Sandra,
There are so many places to see in the area, it is all very dependent on what sort of place you are looking for. When I come over I always love to visit Trevelez. It is so pretty, almost like a little swiss village with all the snow around, but with that certain spanish feel that we love so much. Murtas is a pretty little town but very quiet, if you are into that. (there is a link to the official Murtas website on my website, link below) Let me know what sort of place you are looking for and I will try and point you in the right direction. I am in the long drawn out process of moving over permanently, you can check out our progress on the blog page. Much love

hi thanks for the info, i have noted the places you mentioned, and wil check them out, areas we like are scenic places with local villages, and markets, would be nice to visit places just inland from coast. Are there any dams or rivers, waterfalls in the area. thanks sandra

Morning Sandra, If you like dams, then you could do worse than check out the Lecrin Valley area. There is a spectacular dam on Embalse de Beznar. Have a look at the link to Lecrin on this site and the attached map will give you a good idea of towns in the area, a good starting point possibly would be the village of Beznar itself on the shores of the lake it gives it's name to. Hope thiss helps, happy house hunting!! Much love
